Story Sells
If there’s one language we all speak, it’s story. Everybody’s got one. So does every product. It’s the thing that makes us perk up and pay attention to how we might fit in. Understand. Relate to the tribe. It’s story that makes us cry. And buy. Return. And re-Tweet. Here’s how I get your readers returning:
Story Coach: For writers and speakers, we talk, I tease out your story, and help you see (and say) the elemental details that get—and keep—your readers. Bloggers use my story coaching to rile up their readers, and connect heart to heart. Professionals turn regular updates into missives their list recipients want to share.
Editor & Copy Queen: Once upon a time, web content, print brochures, novellas and business proposals, were all stories in the raw. I wield red pen, grammatical geek-dom, style and aesthetic grace to write and/or perfect what you push.
Ghostwriter: This is for experts who know what to say but have less savvy at writing it. I listen, capture your style, and write it for you…zingy blogs, corporate newsletters, books, articles, manifestos… matching your expertise, and your name on the byline.

About Me – Pema Teeter
My freelance career began as a features writer and editor for a community magazine in Santa Barbara, California. Simultaneously, I wrote a weekly interview column for the local Arts and Entertainment paper. These interviews early on taught me to listen, first of all, and to disappear in the writing, so that my subject could shimmer in his or her individuality. Twelve years later, having sharpened my listening, broadened my personal development, and learned inside industries such as technology, online advertising, finance, grantmaking, theatre, and others in the private and nonprofit sectors, my writing and story coaching continues to center on what I hear, and what I can help bring to the surface as a result.
Story coach, ghostwriter, editor, interviewer, reviewer, and playwright, my skills are at your service.
